Young Claus 18x24
Waves of aged strands flow from a relatively young old man. Mr. Claus was more than a man or a myth. Mr. Claus was a legend, and made forever young. Much like the buddha became a fat and jolly myth, we've lost touch with this man's origin. He was a spiritual guide and a man of the people.
Many mushrooms grow under pine trees. This man would travel the woods collecting the little magical gifts and hang them on the limbs up the trees to dry like ornaments. Upon his walk back, he would collect the dried shrooms in his sack and head back to the village. When mushroom ceremonies we're outlawed, he began delivering them through chimneys in the darkness of the night. People would receive these gifts and hang them in socks over the fire place to finish drying them out.
